Notes
"Dance The Night Away" on Side 2 isn't listed on the cover.
Overall sound quality would rate about a B. It's an audience recording,
and the band sounds clear but there's a "spacious" arena-quality to it.
Because the show was in LA, the boys were probably partying hard and it
shows in a few songs; Dave doesn't sing the entire second verse of "So
This Is Love". In the same song, Eddie plays part of the second solo
during the FIRST solo. Also, Dave "makes up" lyrics in the second verse
of "Unchained". (just like "Romeo Delight" in the US Festival show)
Great montage artwork on cover. Shot of band members on front surrounded
by flames and other graphics.
Records are pressed on black or red vinyl, the red version being more
rare. They have white labels with some random black numbers or markings
on them. The matrix number is engraved near the center with an A/B/C/D
after it indicating what side it is.
An alternate pressing exists on black vinyl with slightly different cover
art and non-generic labels for the records. The front and back artwork
looks the same at first glance, but closer examination reveals that the
artwork is compressed so that more of the image(s) appear at the edges of
the sleeve. The "Van Halen" banner also looks more purple. The labels
on the records have a blue background, a portion of the artwork, and the
track listing (also missing "Dance The Night Away" from side 2). They
also call the release "Sinners Home Ground". This pressing is ETS 2527
& 2528.
