ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This handsome and very rare 10" LP from Odeon (OD 1011, French pressing, red/silver label [ED1], mono, in plain sleeve, as issued) features composer Marius-François Gaillard's haunting Sonate Baroque for Cello and Piano. Gaillard took the piano part himself, accompanying the splendid cellist Micheline-Albert Bloch in brilliant performance recorded in the early 1950s.

Not often mentioned in descriptions of this LP is the fact that it contains a filler, another work for cello and piano entitled "Vesperale d'Ete", also recorded by the composer and Bloch.

CONDITION – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. The only flaw concerns some fraying to the laminate, along the open edge of the jacket. The laminate over the center hole is fine and overall the jacket remains in fine condition – an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP is conservatively graded as VERY GOOD+. Though there is light surface noise throughout, in general the playback remains quite fine. If you must have flawless or near-MINT surfaces, please do not buy this LP. Overall, this rates as a very good collector's copy.

PLEASE NOTE:
All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve. The images I've provided are of the actual item you are potentially bidding on - these are not stock images or images I've taken from other sites. Bid with confidence!
