Take a Bow is a song by American singer Madonna from her 6th album Bedtime Stories (1994). It is a mid-tempo pop ballad written & produced by Madonna & Babyface. The song also appears on her compilation albums Something to Remember (1995), GHV2 (2001) & Celebration (2009). A full orchestra backed Take a Bow. Lyrically it talks about unrequited love & Madonna saying goodbye. Music critics praised the song's soulful, poetic lyrics. The track was a commercial success in the USA, becoming Madonna's 11th #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, topping the chart for 7 weeks. It also reached #1 in Canada & the top 10 in Italy, Switzerland & New Zealand.
