"Blonde On Blonde" - 2 vinyl mono LP set, Columbia C2L 41 (USA), released 20 Jun 1966. The release date listed on bobdylan.com was originally 16 May 1966, but this was disputed by many contemporaries, who think it was actually released no earlier than mid July 1966. The bobdylan.com release date was first revised to 20 Jun 1966, but is now just "1966". Stuart Moore's white label promo copy with the date of 15 Jul 1966 on the label supports this. The front photograph is by Jerry Schatzberg. Note the Columbia logo is upright on the outer sleeve. For more details of the story of the different versions of the picture collage on the inside of the gatefold sleeve, see the www "The Blonde On Blonde Missing Pictures."
The mono LPs of Blonde On Blonde have significantly different mixes and the length of the tracks frequently differ, by up to 50 seconds in some cases (see information on the www from Les Kokay and Roger Ford).
