VAN DYKE PARKS - SONG CYCLE (WARNER BROS - WS – 1727) (VG++/VG+)

·      BAND: US Songwriter, producer, musician based in Los Angeles, 1960’s – 2000’s. This was his first solo LP and features an eclectic selection of songs and genres.

·      TOTAL OUTPUT: Many singles, LP’s, side projects and production credits, (1966-2000’s).

·      PRESSING: First US Pressing, 1967.

·      LABEL: Warner Brothers (Gold with black lettering) (WS-1727)  

·      MATRIX RUNOUT NUMBERS (Etched & Stamped):  A: (393I9-I A WS-1727-A o A Z)     B: (39320-I A WS-1727-B o A I)

·      CONDITION: FRONT COVER: VG+ (Very minor ring-wear. Top seam has moderate wear with a one inch spilt on the top right.    Bottom seam has moderate wear with a 1.5 inch split in the center. Also has ½ inc splits on bottom left and right corners. Spine has moderate wear and lettering is partially impacted.  Bottom corner has ¼ inch heavy wear. Has a sticker in the top right corner.

·      CONDITION: BACK COVER: VG+ (Same as front cover, no stickers, but someone wrote their initials in pen.)

·      CONDITION: DUST JACKET SLEEVE: VG – Features the 1967 Warner Brothers artists, but has moderate age discoloration. Bottom seam is split 1.5 inches in the center.

·      CONDITION: VINYL: Plays with minimal surface noise on quiet passages and has overall audio grade of VG++

Hi folks, this is Velvetfogg, founder of the U-SPACES music collective which ran from 1997 to 2020 on Yahoogroups and has now switched over to Facebook.  The primary focus of U-SPACES was to provide a network of Psych & Garage music aficionados to build and share compilations of non comped songs. Over the past 40 years I have amassed a large 45 & LP collection which I am now choosing to put up for auction to help fund my kid’s college educations.  Generally speaking, I am only putting things up for auction that are either in excellent condition or extremely rare.

My preference is to run these auctions on EBAY because of familiarity with the process, but there is the potential that I will switch or use other platforms in parallel in the future.  Check out my collection on DISCOGS under VELVETFOGG. I have only listed 45’s on that site that I plan to auction in 2021/22 and the list will grow substantially on a weekly basis as I continue to go through my collection. I hope to list ten 45’s and or LP’s per week for EBAY auctions on Sundays.

GRADING SCALE:

NM/M: Played once or twice. No visible surface or playback wear.

EX: Has been played but has no scratches, minimal to no wear and plays without surface noise.

EX- Plays without surface noise, but might have a few visible minor scratches.

VG++: May have a few surface scratches or a little wear, but plays nicely with only minimal surface noise and clicks.

VG+: "Typical used record".  A little wear, a few minor (light) scratches, but plays well. Surface noise may be more present during soft passages. No Skips

VG: More wear and significant surface noise. Deeper scratches. May have a skip.

G: Significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. (Beat up record!) May have skips.

(All LP’s are visually-graded with sound samples being provided for the first song on each side.)

LP’s ship via USPS Priority Mail Cubic (domestic) or USPS First Class International. Professional cardboard 45 mailers will be used with proper bubble packing.

Priority Shipping is available for higher priced international items upon request and includes insurance but is expensive. (For international orders, please research these costs in your country prior to bidding.
