“Four by the Beatles” was released by Capitol on May 11, 1964 with “This Boy,” “Please Mr. Postman,” “Roll Over, Beethoven” and “All My Loving.” East Coast pressings (this one) had blue labels; West Coast pressings were in green. 

  

“4-By The Beatles” came out the following February. It offered a quartet of tunes from the previously released “Beatles ‘65” LP: “Honey Don’t,” “I’m a Loser,” “Mr. Moonlight” and “Everybody’s Trying to be My Baby.” 

 

This auction is for BOTH Extended Play Albums. 

 

I played them each once on a fairly new turntable with headphones, and had no serious audio issues--no pops, skips or scratches. In fact, it was a kick to once again hear The Beatles "rock on," as Ringo puts it on "Honey Don't." 

 

The labels on both discs are not museum quality, as the photos show. "Four By" has tape and a smudge on one side, and general rubbing on the other. "4-By" has writing and ringwear on both sides.

   

I'm listing them at a low starting price, considering that you’ll rarely, if ever, find these two EPs offered together.
