Faces by Mac Miller 2021 remastered on vinyl

This remastered album produces high definition audio and will function and sound amazing on any turntable since it’s pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl. The tricolor 2021 pressing sold out fast leaving many fans empty handed. In response, Warner Records released this 3 LP Opaque yellow pressing. Last year saw a significant resurgence of vinyl which outsold CDs! The comeback of the turntable and improvements in the technology that make them spin has led to remarkable progress in sound reproduction. After you become familiar with playing a record it will soon be your favorite medium to hear your favorite bands and artists. Listening to music will become much more than something you do in the car to pass the time or do when exercising to get you in the mindset. The feeling of owning music as a physical copy is unique and the album art can be displayed when not in use due to its aesthetic nature.

About the album

Originally only existing as a bootleg vinyl or individual tracks on Sound Cloud and Youtube, this album was officially released on vinyl (and digital format) in 2021. The album was remastered and includes a never before heard bonus song “Yeah”. Many longtime fans of Mac Miller recognize this as one of the rapper’s best albums, both in terms of his ability to share unique stories effectively and with witty lyrics which at times can make you laugh and cry, as well as the totally new sound he introduced us to with his more experimental beats (all made by the man himself) which you will want to listen to on repeat. The songs tell bizarre and vivid stories on topics ranging from his visit to San Francisco which turned into a PCP trip gone wrong, to more normal things like a birthday party. He paints honest and comedic scenes filled with chaos for our entertainment, even at his own expense. His ability to let us in to his world as a young man who’s tripped up by his newfound fame and fortune and his responsibilities/decision making skills (or lack thereof) that come with making millions at his age. Learning to maneuver all the challenges through trial and error that a young man faces when they become a superstar, Mac’s journey is surely unique and he leaves no stone unturned or anecdote left unsaid. Although there is much complexity to the album, Mac knows when to simplify things purposefully. He chooses to rap over simpler beats when he wishes to capture the attention of the listener and introduces US to his trippy world as a safari guide would guide you in the jungle. He make sure you’re

paying attention more to the lyrics when he wants wants and let’s the bass-line take you away when it’s time. This album provides a window into the creative mind of a depressed, pessimistic yet persistent man named Mac for the audience, while still allowing the listener to vibe with a song as congruent to their feelings without much interpretation at other times. Whether he’s rapping about topics such as his pessimism towards life and self doubt, his own death and suicide, drug abuse and overdosing or heartache and love, he has an uncanny ability to keep the mood relatively light through playful and mindful lyricism and intelligent beat making, ensuring every song has its own sound and original aesthetic. This album is a must listen for any fans who have yet to hear it, but also has the potential to inspire new fans with the diversity of tracks the album is composed of. Since 2016 I’ve been listening to this album and I’m still finding new things to love about it. Now that it is remastered especially. If this is new to you, it will be your next favorite Mac album. Treat yourself or bless a buddy and add this gem to your friend’s collection, spreading the love the way the goat (rest his soul) would have wished.
