In May of 1963, Bob Dylan released his 2nd studio album....'The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan'.  Produced by John Hammond, it featured a sober, stark, and articulate folk artist who single-handedly launched the mid-'60s protest movement with such venerable songs as "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall", "Masters of War", and of course, "Blowin' in the Wind" (a song which Dylan later claimed he wrote in 10 minutes!) Suffice it to say that, Bob Dylan at 22 years old, with his simple and compelling melodies transformed American popular songwriting with this album.
On offer is a 1st (and possibly earliest) UK Mono pressing for this album. The vinyl is thick and hefty and both labels are fully and heavily textured (see photos) The audio is wonderfully rich and detailed and shows why the Mono versions of Dylan's early albums are preferred to the corresponding stereo releases.
Cover:  Excellent(-)....beautifully laminated front cover with almost no flaws aside from some minor creases. The timeless cover photograph has never looked so frameable as it does on this 1st UK printed example.  The tri-flipbacked back cover is quite clean and if not for some mild discoloration would be almost perfect.
Original Inner-Sleeve: Excellent-.....the poly-lined inner has a couple of folds and creases but amazingly only 1 small split to one side.
Record: VG+* ~ Excellent(-).....the thick and heavy vinyl is impressively clean for the most part. Name written on Side 1 label.  Under strong light a few marks, scuffs, and superficial scratches can be made out. However, due to the high quality of vinyl pressings in the UK at this time most of these visual blemishes have no bearing on the clear and detailed  audio.  *The only song that dipped below the VG+  grading was the last song on Side 1 (A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall) which I will assign a grade of VG(-)  Overall, a strong example of a rare and sought after pressing.
