Arthur Rubinstein--Chopin Mazurkas, RCA 3-LP Remastered Box Set NM
These 1965 Rubinstein recordings of the Mazurkas were digitally remastered by RCA in 1984, creating analog records "superior--and more faithful to the original, approved master tapes than any previously released edition," RCA states.
Rubinstein, who recorded virtually all of Chopin's compositions, is "arguably the greatest of all Chopin pianists," Gramophone reviewer Bryce Morrison wrote in 2015.
Condition: The vinyl LPs are Near Mint, showing no signs of ever having been played. The box is also NM, with only a touch of corner wear.
The 12-page booklet with many photos of the artist and essays on Rubinstein and the Mazurkas, plus a track list, is perfect except for one small red mark on rear cover. Records are enclosed in original RCA Red Seal sleeves.
