Die Another Day is the 2002 theme song from the James Bond film of the same name by American singer Madonna. It leaked onto the Internet prior to the official release, prompting early radio. It was then released as a single & later included on her 9th studio album, American Life (2003) & her greatest hits compilation Celebration (2009). MGM wanted a high-profile artist for the theme of the film & Madonna was their choice. It was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song & 2 Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording & Best Short Form Music Video. It was a commercial success, peaking at #8 on the USA Billboard Hot 100 & was the top selling dance song in the USA for both 2002 & 2003. It reached the top of the charts in Canada, Italy, Romania & Spain & top 10 in various countries worldwide.
