Decca wideband with groove / Original recording by label text / ED1

Catalogue No. SXL 2037

This is a rare Decca first pressing (or ED1) of this performance.  The label on the disc has a wide silver band just above the centre and a circular groove in the vinyl approx 1cm in from the edge. 

 On the rim of the label at 10.00 o’clock are printed the words “ORIGINAL RECORDING BY”. 

 

The outer sleeve is the original: lightweight cardboard, flip-back, laminated on the front. 

Disc and outer sleeve are both made in England.  The inner sleeve is period Decca ffss printed paper with polythene liner.

 

 The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are:

ZAL 4095-3E & ZAL 4096-2E
