Rev. Mervin E. Rosell (1913-2001) was a successful evangelist in the 1940s and 1950s, author and hymn writer and musician, president of Youth for Christ, and credited with the production of at least one Christian evangelistic movie when involved with Youth for Christ titled, "The Glass Mountain". Rosell also participated in Northwestern Bible Conferences at Northwestern's Medicine Lake Bible Camp in Minnesota.
Early on in Merv's ministry he and his wife Violette traveled together; then, when the children arrived and started school they settled in Rochester, MN until 1951 when they moved to southern California.
Merv and Vi retired to Sun City, Arizona in 1989. They worshiped and served at Grace Bible Church.
Merv and his son Garth published a book in 2011: "Shoe-Leather Faith".
He was survived by Vi, a daughter and two sons, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
