Offered for sale is a 12" vinyl LP of 'Scott 2', the second solo album from Scott Walker, previously a member of the Walker Brothers. The catalogue number is Philips SBL.7840. This is a very early stereo pressing from 1968 - which comes complete with its original printed insert.  

The vinyl itself is in prettly good condition for its age. It is still relatively glossy, and though there are quite a few light surface marks and light scratches (please see the pictures for the worst of these), none of these are 'feelable' and it plays through fine with no skips or jumps. The labels are generally clean - there are quite a lot of spindle marks to both sides, but there is no handwriting anywhere and no stickers. 

The picture sleeve is alright for its age, but it was possibly sellotaped along the edges at one point, as there are residue marks and small bits of picture loss along the edges - please see the pictures for a close-up view of this. There is no sellotape anywhere on it now though. There is a 'Stereo - playable on Mono' sticker on the rear. There are no splits or tears anywhere, so it is reasonably good for its age.

The record comes with a plain inner sleeve. This has no splits or tears but it a bit discoloured. It has done its job of protecting the record itself. 

It also comes complete with the original printed inner of Scot Walker, which measures roughly 11" x 11". This is in nice condition, especially given its age. It appears to have barely been touched. 

Overall this is a fairly nice example of this record in a reasonably good sleeve. It is not pristine by any means, but it is a nice, solid example of this very early pressing.
