You are bidding on a fantastic collection of 9, Gordon Lightfoot vinyl LP's (10 records total) from the years 1965 to 1986. I am the original owner of most of these records and the records have always been stored vertically in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The photos and descriptions below are shown in the order of release of the albums. I no longer have a record player to test the records and a general description of the condition for each record is listed below.
Lightfoot!--This was Gordon's debut album released in 1965. The catalog number is UAS 6487 and the record label is United Artist Records. The front of the jacket is in good condition with light record "shadow marks" at the top and bottom and a crease in the bottom left corner. The back of the jacket is in good condition. The spline is in poor condition. A previous owner's initials are on the jacket back and record. The inner sleeve is from Capitol Records (not United Artists) and features other artists of the time period. The record has multiple blemishes on both sides.
Sit Down Young Stranger--This album was released in 1970, the catalog number is RS 6392 and the record label is Reprise Records. This album contains the hit song, "If You Could Read My Mind" which helped propel Gordon to stardom. The front and back of the jacket are in generally good condition with light record "shadow marks" at the top and bottom. The inner sleeve is original, is in good condition and lists other Reprise artists of the time period. The record has a couple blemishes on both sides.
Summer Side of Life--This album was released in 1971, the catalog number is MS 2037 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front and back of the jacket are in generally good condition with light record "shadow marks" at the top and bottom. The inner sleeve is plain paper and is split on one side. No blemishes were noted on either side and appears to be NM.
Don Quixote--This album was released in 1972, the catalog number is MS 2056 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front of the jacket has wear from light record "shadow marks" and in the center. The back of the jacket is in good condition. The inner sleeve is not original but is a high quality, "Flip Side" plastic sleeve. No blemishes were noted on either side and appears to be NM.
Sundown--This album was released in 1974, the catalog number is MS 2177 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front of the jacket has heavy wear throughout. The spline is also heavily worn. The back of the jacket is in better condition with mainly record "shadow marks". The inner sleeve is original and is in good condition. Minor blemishes were noted on Side 1, Side 2 appears to be in good condition.
Gord's Gold--This double album was released in 1975, the catalog number is 2RS 2237 and the record label is Reprise Records. The front of the jacket is in VG condition. The back of the jacket has has wear from light record "shadow marks" at the top. The center Gatefold is in NM condition. The inner sleeves are clear plastic (original?) and are in good condition. Side 1 has a heavy blemish that affects songs 3-5. Side 2 has minor blemishes. Sides 3 and 4 appear to be in NM condition.
Summer Time Dream--This album was released in 1976, the catalog number is MS 2246 and the record label is Reprise Records. This album contains the hit song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". The front of the jacket is in NM condition. The back of the jacket is in generally good condition with light record "shadow marks" at the top. The inner sleeve is original, in good condition and contains the lyrics on both one sides. No blemishes were noted on either side and appears to be NM.
Endless Wire--This album was released in 1978, the catalog number is 1-25482 and the record label is Warner Bros. Records. The front of the jacket is in generally good condition with light record "shadow marks" at the top and bottom. A "cutout" notch is in the upper left corner. The back of the jacket is in very good condition. The inner sleeve is original, is in good condition and contains the lyrics. No blemishes were noted on either side and appears to be NM condition.
East of Midnight--This album was released in 1986, the catalog number is MS 2037 and the record label is Warner Bros. Records. The front and back of the jacket are in generally good condition with light record "shadow marks" at the top and bottom. The inner sleeve is original, is in good condition and contains the lyrics. Multiple blemishes were noted on both sides.
