The album up for bid is a first pressing by Chess Records of an Albert King-Otis Rush compilation, "Door to Door". This monaural album was released in 1969. It consists of 14 tracks. I have had difficulty finding additional information on the recording.
The cover is in VG condition. There is mild wear on the left and right lower corners. All seams are intact and there are no tears or markings on the front and back covers and there is no evidence of disk wear on either covers.
The inner sleeve is clean and intact, though I doubt it is original.
The recording has been cleaned and tested with Audacity. All tracks play through without skipping. There is, however, mild to moderate surface noise consisting of 'clicks" that are random in nature. The disc surfaces show signs of wear. On side 2, there appears to be a scratch across the final 3 tracks. However, this is not detectable to the touch and does not show up as rhytmic clicks on listening or has resulted in skipping of the track. This album, obviously has seen a moderate amount of use and/or abuse, but still have a lot of life left for the listener. It is not for the audiophile, but it is a good filler for the "blues" listener.
I always clean, listen and test every record I list on EBAY. I do this in insure that I can give as accurate a description for each album I list. I also try to follow the Goldmine standards on grading records. I do this as a service to the buyer, as well as, to maintain my own reputation.
