Three months later - just after their first EMI session - they appeared on the same show, this time performing a Lennon-McCartney original, Ask Me Why - the first of their songs to be broadcast. By then, drummer Pete Best's days with the group were numbered, making the recordings presented here a fascinating time capsule.
