Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a soft poly inner sleeve.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I grade a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the eBay grading category to describe the cover condition.

This is a First Pressing of a Def Jam Recordings Promotional copy of the Beastie Boys' original 1986 debut album release. This copy has never been played. The gold foil Promo stamp is on the barcode. The matrix/runouts are etched with: "Get Off My Bick BB" and "Watch Your Back". It is a Carrollton Pressing. The gatefold cover has tight seams, a stiff spine and shows no wear. The inner sleeve has a Def Jam logo, photos and credits. I have addeed a soft poly inner sleeve. This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Columbia Records (Def Jam's didtributor) in 1986. It has been in storage for 38 years.
