The album consists of the of all the band's and recorded and released between 1978 and 1983. It was originally released to coincide both with the release of the band's final single "Price of Admission" and with their two "farewell shows" which took place in February 1983. The band reformed in 1987 and released further singles and the tracks on this album would later form a substantial part of the compilation album Anthology, released in 2002.
