Eodm ( Eagles Of Death Metal ) Death By Sexy Records & LPs New Item Description It's possible that, if Josh Homme (of the widely touted Queens of the Stone Age) wasn't in the Eagles of Death Metal, nobody would pay the band much mind. That's because EoDM's off- the-cuff sound is reminiscent of two stoner high-school buddies getting together in the garage to lay down some heavy rock tunes... dude. And, in fact, that's exactly what this is, but luckily one of those high-school buddies is in fact Homme (the other is frontman Jesse Hughes), and people do pay attention. DEATH BY SEXY, the duo's second effort, is steeped in classic rock, particularly the 1970s FM sounds of Kiss, T. Rex, Alice Cooper, and the like. Riffalicious licks and pounding drums are the primary ingredients, and with song titles like "Cherry Cola" and "I Like to Move in the Night," it's clear the EoDM have one foot planted firmly in teenage rock-&-roll fantasia.
