This is a very rare first edition of the private release record by the ROLLING STONES entitled "Bright Lights, Big City," released in the US in 1973. It features excellent audio quality recordings of rare early demos and unreleased finished tracks, 10 of the 14 tracks from 1963-1964. This is NOT the TMOQ edition (this is an earlier edition) and has a pre-printed cover with great artwork and a plain white gatefold with a pouch for the record. The record itself is shiny, unblemished MINT, still having its original black sheen with no marks. It plays ABSOLUTELY MINT with no noise. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better vinyl copy. The cover has a bit of graying along the outer portion on the front and a bit of ringwear and a couple of minor spots on the back and is entirely intact; I would conservatively grade it VG+. THIS HAS BEEN MY PERSONAL COPY SINCE 1973 and has been housed in plastic ever since then.
The labels are plain white (this was an early private release so . . .) and only has my handwritten 1 & 2 to denote the sides. It has a very CURIOUS IMPERFECTION on Side 1 as there is a barely visible, inverted print image of a label that comes from a Titus Turner record ("His Funeral, My Trial") which I have no explanation for but it does add to the uniqueness and funkiness of this record (visible in the fifth picture).
Buyer agrees to add $5.38 for Media Mail postage in the US (or $40 for international airpost; I know that's a lot but the USPS charges a lot). The LP will go out soon after I receive payment notification so pretty quickly. Thanks for looking.
