David Bowie's 1972 masterpiece, 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars' was released through Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab in June 1981 as part of their collection of half-speed mastered pressings. I've heard dozens of different vinyl pressings of this album....including the 1st UK, 1st U.S., and the scores of audiophile CDs that have come out during the last 30 years. None of them can hold a candle to this Mobile Fidelity pressing. The detail, dynamics, clarity, punch, and immediacy from this pressing is unmatched. Listen and believe.
Cover: NM-.....nearly perfect....just some minor wear to a couple of the corners. Beautiful condition.
MoFi Audiophile Inner-Sleeve: NM
Inner Cardboard Protective Sleeve: NM-
Record: VG-* ~ NM....the first song on Side 1 ('Five Years') has a *scratch which causes some ticks for about a minute. Not the end of the world...but it's there. The rest of the album is perfectly Near Mint. Bear in mind, sealed copies of this pressing now fetch between $300.00 ~ $400.00 U.S. and more. However, due to the minor issue mentioned above I'm letting it go at an affordable and reasonable price.
