Offering is original owner’s RCA VICTOR LPM-4088, Elvis Presley “ELVIS – (TV SPECIAL)”, 1st Pressing (Indianapolis), 1977 Reissue, Mono, 33-1/3 RPM LP “Comeback Special” soundtrack recording. Note – Per the two (2) labels and back cover track listing, three (3) tracks are “Recorded In Stereo”. They are: Side A (1), Track #1, “Trouble/Guitar Man”; Side B (2), Track #1 “Dialogue …..Saved”; and Side B (2) Track#4, “Medley”. Descriptions are as follows:

·        Album Cover – FRONT COVER: VERY GOOD ++ - has retained 100% of its original rich colors with a nice glossy sheen. The full-size color photo of Elvis shows no fading, stains, aging marks or discoloration. The front cover has no owner markings or ring wear. There is a ½” scruff mark at the middle top, above the “V” (see photo no. 3) BACK COVER: VERY GOOD ++ CONDITION – likewise, has retained 100% of its original rich colors with a nice glossy sheen. It has no fading, stains, aging marks or discoloration. The back cover has no owner markings or ring wear. The six (6) Elvis color photos are in “near mint” condition. There are two (2) 1”- 1-1/2” scruff marks at the middle bottom, on both sides of the bottom copyright lines (see photo no. 6).

·        Vinyl – CONDITION: VERY GOOD ++. Seldom played, the vinyl record’s playing surfaces are very clean and bright. The vinyl has a rich, attractive gloss. There are light hairline / non-feelable surface marks on both sides. There are no feelable scratches. Side B has a two (2), 1-1/2” non-feelable scruff marks. The classic black and silver RCA dog logo labels are in VG++ condition with no spindle wear, stains, scratches or discoloration. 

·        Inner liner / paper sleeve Number 21-112-1PT 54F is in VG++ CONDITION. It has no tears, stains, marks, or discoloration. This very collectible, double-sided “ELVIS” 1977 sleeve/inner liner offers a unique, chronological photos’ display of every Elvis RCA LP album cover from 1956 through 1977.

This LP contains the following identifiers as described by discogs.com and elvisrecords.com:

·        Black Label, dog near top, flat label, Indianapolis Pressing as identified by the “I” in the runouts. This release has the characteristic 1” diameter label small center pressing ring and no other pressing ring on the labels.

·        Back Cover – “Original Soundtrack Recording From His NBC-TV Special”.

·        Back Cover and labels have an asterisk “*” denoting the three (3) tracks “Recorded In Stereo”.

·        RCA issued releases in this era with a variety of inner liners. This album’s inner liner / paper sleeve is Number 21-112-1PT 54F (see photo no. 9) and is identified with this 1977 original reissue LP.
