Celia Cruz was a Cuban-American singer and cultural icon. Known as “The Queen of Salsa,” she is one of the most influential Latin artists of all time.
En Vivo: 100 Años de Azúcar (100 Years of Azúcar) is a commemorative nine-track album that features some of her most iconic songs such as Quimbara, Bemba Colorá, La Dicha Mía and Tu Voz, in completely unreleased versions, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of her birth.
Recorded at a concert in Miami, FL during the years of 1986 and 1987, these recordings had been lost and have remained unreleased for almost four decades, until now.
Having only released one live album during her entire career, this rare recording has been meticulously restored and will be the only other live recording of the legendary artist ever to be released. This commemorative album will also mark the beginning of the celebration of the centennial of Celia Cruz's birth.
