NEIL YOUNG  Self-Titled 'No Name' Debut Solo Album, 2-Tone REPRISE label on 1st Withdrawn jacket. 1st US PRESS with ALTERNATE MIXES. There is no "RE-1" following the matrix number in the runoff wax. Also features the original hype sticker.

Later remastered versions of the LP have 'RE-1' in the run-off wax. This copy does not, and is a 1st US pressing, Original Mix.

The story goes that Neil did not like the initial mixes of several songs on this album and insisted that they be redone. Part of the problem was the 'CSG' processing in the mastering that was designed to improve Stereo/Mono playback.

More from Wikipedia: "The album was partially remixed and re-released without Haeco-CSG processing. Most of the songs from the original album were re-released as-is, only without the Haeco-CSG processing. But three were remixed, which were replaced on the master tapes: "If I Could Have Her Tonight", "Here We Are in the Years", and "What Did You Do to My Life?". "

"The words "Neil Young" were added to the top of the album cover after what was left of the original stock had been used up, so copies of both mixes exist in the original sleeve. Copies of the original mix on vinyl are now rare and much sought-after by Neil Young fans who believe that the remix diminished the songs, especially "Here We Are in the Years"."

Vinyl: VG+ Plenty of shine still on the record, some light small scuffs and un-feelable hairlines. Plays through nicely.

Jacket: VG+ Solid gatefold with a little bit of staining on the spine and light wear.

We are experienced vinyl collectors and go to great lengths to grade records accurately, including both visual inspection and play-testing all records.

We Grade on the scale of:

M: Reserved only for Unplayed, Sealed records.

NM : Looks Unplayed, plays clean.

EX : Nice and shiny all over, possibly a couple minor and largely inaudible scuffs. Plays NM.

VG+ : Still plays very well with possible minor background noise. Some possible scuffs and non-feelable marks.

VG : Notable wear but still listenable. We will play-grade and note any heavier marks for clicks or skips.

We clean all records on a Record Doctor cleaning machine.
