Vinyl Preparation and Handling
All vinyl records are safely cleaned using vacuum cleaner and stored in anti-static sleeves before offering for sale. Vinyl and sleeves are separated and shipped in Whiplash Mailer cardboard box designed for shipping LPs. Shipping is typically USPS Media Mail and always from a non-smoking household.
How my Records are GradedMint (M) Factory sealed or otherwise perfect condition.
Near Mint (NM/M-) A nearly perfect record. The vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. The sleeve will have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects.
Excellent (EX) A record that is almost Near Mint but may have a couple of light scuffs that do not affect play. The sleeve will almost be Near Mint but may have a very slight bend in the corner or show minor shelf wear and/or ring wear.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound may be present. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split and/or ring wear.
Very Good (VG) Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches that will affect the sound with pops or clicks. Sleeves will have more pronounced defects than VG+ and may be marred by writing or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.
Good (G) Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music. Groove wear will be noticeable, as with scratches that will affect the sound with pops or clicks. Sleeves will have more pronounced defects than VG and may be affected by seam splits, tears, surface tears, or more significant tape or stickers attached.
Fair (F) Surface noise will be prevalent upon playing. Groove wear will be prevalent, as with scratches that will affect the sound with constant pops and clicks. Sleeves will have more pronounced defects than G and will be affected by seam splits, tears, surface tears, evidence of water damage, etc. Variant 9: the string '11' which follows the string 'F4' on the B Side run out is a subscript on F4.
