Per Wikipedia, Bob Marley and the Wailers (previously known as the Wailers were a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and  band. The founding members, in 1963, were  (Robert Nesta Marley),  (Winston Hubert McIntosh), and  (Neville Livingston).  Before signing to Island Records in 1972, the band released four albums. Two additional albums were produced before Tosh and Wailer departed from the band in 1974, citing dissatisfaction with their treatment by the label and ideological disagreements. Marley continued with a new lineup, which included the I-Threes, and went on to release seven more albums. Marley died from cancer in 1981, at which point the group disbanded.  The Wailers were a groundbreaking ska and reggae group, noted for songs such as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "", "" and "".  Catch a Fire is the fifth studio album by the band, released in April 1973. It was their first album released by .  The Catch a Fire Tour, which covered  and the , helped generate international interest in the band. Catch a Fire peaked at number 171 on the  and number 51 on the  charts. Critical acclaim has included the album being listed at number 126 on , second only to Legend among five Bob Marley albums on the list. It is regarded as one of the top reggae albums of all time.  The album up for sale is a l973 recording on the Island label.  The album was manufactured and pressed at Capitol Records' Hollywood pressing facility.  The recording consists of nine songs, two of which were written and composed by ; the remaining seven were by .  The run time is 35:36.  The recording was released with Shorewood Packaging "Zippo" die cut and with a hinged sleeve. Unfortunately, this cover has become "unhinged.  The cover has moderate wear not only with the hinge, but also along the edges and corners.  There are several creases in the cover (see photos).  The paper inner sleeve is in VG condition.  The recording has been cleaned and tested using Audacity.  All tracks are free of skips and there is very little background noise, that consists of mild "clicks" that occur in the quiet spaces between tracks.  This is a VG+ recording and the sound is strong and clear.  The disc faces show signs of mild wear and the surfaces are free of abnormalities such as scratches and scuffs.  Although the cover has seen abuse, it has done is job well and provided the owner of some of best music to come out of Jamaica by one of its greatest talents.

I always clean, listen and test every record I list on EBAY. I do this in insure that I can give as accurate a description for each album I list. I also try to follow the Goldmine standards on grading records. I do this as a service to the buyer, as well as, to maintain my own reputation.
