This is it...! 1 of 500 made - self released - in amazing condition!
Message me with any questions.
Extremely rare self released first LP by Jim Croce. Original gold metallic jacket with large green sticker that reads "Facets by Jim Croce". There were 500 ever made - never re-pressed to vinyl.
Sleeve is in EX condition - no tears/bends, but does show some minor wear from storage.
The LP sits comfortably between the NM- / EX mark. No visible marks or audible pops - I personally would grade it a solid NM (I'm also not an extreme audiophile guy). Basically saying - don't expect this to sound like an MFSl remastered 45rpm thing (come on now people...).
"Facets is a self-published album by American singer-songwriter Jim Croce, released in 1966. Croce had five hundred copies of the album pressed, financed with a $500 cash wedding gift that he and his wife to be, Ingrid Croce, received from his parents. Croce's parents were certain that when Jim would fail completely at selling the record, and, realizing that couldn't support his family as a singer, he would abandon music and finish his college education. To their surprise, he not only sold every last record but also turned a profit of almost $2500. The majority of those records were sold at Croce's shows."
Please note - I will cover any additional postal costs for insurance / tracking from the sale price. I will NOT ship to any destination that can not be tracked. We will just have to void the auction in this instance.
