What a fun step back in time. Here is a young girl’s record album that holds several of the Beatles 45’s ranging from 1964 to 1971. I have added a few of my own. The photo album which measures 9” long X 7 ½” Wide X 1 ¾” deep, is well bound like a picture album. It is expandable with 15 individual slots. Presently there are 12 records inside, two of which are EP‘s (Extended Plays with 4 songs). One record is still in its picture sleeve and the name of the girl who owned the album is written on the record label. The original price tag of 98 cents is present. There is a variety of labels the rest of the 45’s were pressed on. All records are clean and shiny. They are not NM but they are not trash either. Some display some scuffs, lines or other blemishes, some play better than others, but the majority play wonderfully. You can see the girl’s name was Jane Matthews, who in reality represents every girl who ever fell in love with the Beatles. She has written inside on the record index the names of records she had at one time. Some were the Four Seasons, or Pat Boone, even Frank Sinatra. But the majority of the index lines are filled with Beatle’s songs. She also took the liberty to write the name of various Beatles on some of the holder’s that might have been author or singer to the song placed into that particular slot. She makes me feel like I have turned back time to 50 years ago. What I really love though is the BOLD “I LOVE THE BEATLES” on the very front along with her name and George Harrison’s. Hey, I liked him too… Then the final “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!”… Makes me smile.

The records are as follows:

1) Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You - 1964 Yellow Tollie, #9008 Plays perfectly
2) She Loves You/I’ll Get You - 1964 Black w/Silver print Swan, #4152 Plays perfectly
3) Slow Down/Matchbox - 1964 Swirl Capitol # 5255 Plays perfectly
4) From Me to You/Please Please Me- 1964 VeeJay Rainbow #581-low background occasional
5) EP- Ask Me Why, Anna, Misery, Taste of Honey- 1964 VeeJay #VJEP1-903- Anna has a skip, Ask Me why has a skip, side 2 has a scrape into the vinyl so gets some clicks
6) EP- “Four By the Beatles”- 1964 Turquoise Capitol # EAP 1-2121 No pic sleeve Plays well over all. Roll Over Beethoven begins with a couple of low clicks. Occasional low background. ( This Boy, Please Mr. Postman, Roll Over Beethoven, All My Loving)
7) Eight Days a Week/I Don’t want to Spoil the Party - With Picture Sleeve- 1965 Swirl Capitol # 5371. Has 2 Scratches on Eight days a wk, seen but not heard. Plays Very Well.
8) Old Brown Shoe/Ballad of John & Yoko - 1969 Apple (Cut in half)# R5786 EMI No 45 hole, but more like hole for Lp. Very short scratch on one side. Plays very well
9) Come Together/Something - 1969 Apple #2654 Some Light Scuffs, Plays perfectly
10) My Sweet Lord/Isn’t it a Pity?- 1970 Apple #2995 Low periodic click in beginning, due to small light scratch, some low background sound. Actually plays pretty well.
11) It Don’t Come Easy/ Early 1970 - 1971 Apple #1831 Light Scratch seen, not heard
12) Happy Christmas War is Over - 1971 Apple # 1842 on Green clear Vinyl Some light scratches, not heard.
* Picture sleeve - Eight Days a week, is in VG + Condition. No rips or tears- some natural aging on white. Small ring wear vaguely present. Slight wear to bottom edge.

Please see my other auctions to be listed in the next couple of days for a couple of Beatle’s picture sleeves as well a Beatle’s picture disc with songs “Love Me do” and “PS I Love You” on Parlophone. Also I will be listing a Paul McCartney release from Japan.

I will be listing other well known lps from the 60's, 70's and a few 80's over the next few weeks. All have had good care. I conservatively grade them on average between G, VG and VG + some are NM.
