The formidable Max Cooper returns to his native Fields label with this jaw-dropper of an EP, backed by a rather industrious collection of remixers! The original mix of "Impacts" is a shuffling, raw-to-the-bone house tune that reminds us of Romanthony in his grittier days. Factory Floor step up to the remix duties, and they successfully manage to transform "Impacts" into something totally unrecognisable: filtered synths, broken beats and the odd cannon shot! Techno badman Perc mutates the original into an abrasive 4/4 stomper containing some sublimely alien bassline, while Harvey Mckay remixes "Fallen Von Der Klippe" into a UK-tinged, half-step monster - one to check!
