This Westwood One Superstar Concert by the Cars, six sides on three virgin vinyl discs, was played on air February 19 – 20, 1988 and afterwards placed in temperate storage until October 2014.
The discs are in the original box in original plastic shipping sleeves with cue sheet and Westwood print promo. Box is in excellent structural condition with station identifier hand written in magic marker on the front, no physical damage.
There are no dings or scratches, no repeated trails around the center spindle hole, no repeat needle drop marks on the opening groove. All three discs are in perfect playing condition based on close visual inspection in revealing light.
Metrics represent a scale of 1 to 5 in which 1 is lowest acceptable quality, 3 is average quality careful use, and 5 is flawless (“m-“), “m” is mint/near mint.

I was the owner of the small market FM station that was sold in 1989 and from which I preserved this and other Westwood One shows. These are among the last of the high quality vinyl recordings that were made and distributed exclusively for live airplay and never made available to the consumer. I have since retired and now look forward to passing these rare analog musical artifacts to someone else who will appreciate their unique place in the transition to the digital era.
