CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  Vinyl is play tested IN FULL at volume on quality audio equipment.  Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary.   All records/sleeves are visually checked in good natural daylight or using 125W white/daylight bulbs. 

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION.   Playing condition ranges from EX/EX+ to MINT, with virtually the whole album playing at the higher grade.   Very infrequent surface noise/light crackle in between some tracks.  1 or 2 pops.   NO loud crackle  NO continuous clicks  NO distortion/groove-wear  NO jumps  NO sticking.  

Visually, in good daylight, the vinyl looks VG+/EX-.    Some light surface-only marks.   Nothing that feels to the touch or that has any obvious effect on play. 

Labels are EX.  Light spindle marks evident.  All text perfectly readable.  NO writing  NO stickers.

Sleeve is in VG- condition.   3 or 4 small nicks on/near the top edge.   Would grade higher if not for a small tear/damage near the opening edge (see photos).  Some creasing.   Light score marks.   All spine text perfectly readable.   NO seam splits  NO writing  NO stickers.

PLEASE NOTE; Due to the reflective nature of vinyl discs, usually only the more noticeable marks will show up in photos.  I TRY TO INCLUDE PHOTOS OF THESE MARKS WHERE POSSIBLE.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
