Longstanding proponents of both impressionism and intoxication, Portland's Eternal Tapestry here venture forth into pastures new, sequestering themselves away from the outside world and sculpting an ambitious and beguilingly overgrown double-set inspired by the flora and fauna that surrounds their practice space. The more observant may have noticed that it isn't 1971 anymore, yet although there can't be many bands in the here and now that one would trust with such a venture, Eternal Tapestry - as skilled in their expansive jams with haunting quietude as they are with intimidating sonic overload - are one the few. Thus, the heady, hedonistic 'Wild Strawberries' is an album to get lost in.
