Referred to as The Rolling Stones' #1, this is the German Decca 2nd pressing of the LP BLK 16300-P. The first LP released by the Rolling Stones in 1964.

This copy was pressed on extra thick vinyl. I purchased the record new in Germany while on duty with the US Army. It has been played exclusively on high end turntables and has only minor scuffs on the surface and the label is very good. This record does make typical sounds heard on 50 year old records such as light clicks and occasional pops but there are no skips and it is still a great sounding record at high volume.

The outer jacket looks very good when you look straight at it from the front but if you tilt it you can see a lot of scuffing (see the picture). You can see a bit of ring wear on the front and back from storage and there is about a one inch seam split at the bottom opening and a smaller split at the top opening. The top left corner on the back shows the initials "RCD" which was placed there by the music store where I purchased it as some sort of code. That was a common practice back then on records that were displayed without shrink wrap. Some new records could be played (sampled) prior to purchasing and the store wrote a code or a price on the back of certain records.

The original inner sleeve of poly lined white paper with German text is in mint condition.

I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
