Mobile Fidelity MFSL 1-061 Aqualung, Jethro Tull
This is a killer album musically and sonically. The cover is in excellent condition, I suspect there are scuffs here and there simply due to age, but I have kept it carefully stored these years and I can see no issues. The cardboard is thick and sturdy as is the original stiffening insert. LP vinyl is in great shape, cut at a high level with great dynamics and deep bass...this thing rocks! There are very minor ticks and pops here and there -- most of the time I thought it was a static pop. But bear in mind this is an old and used record so a little surface noise comes with the territory. I just played through this so I can accurately describe it rather than giving you a visual evaluation -- musically this thing is a sonic masterpiece. There is a little bit of surface noise here and there but I was not distracted from the music by any of it.
I purchased this new in the 80s and cared for it well...the only marks on this are rings on either side of the lp by the spindle (see pictures). This was caused by my a record clamp on my old Ariston turntable and it is NOT a sign of abuse. It has only ever been played on properly set up high end decks: Ariston and VPI.
