Excellent condition copies of the first two compilation albums by the soft-rock vocal duo The Carpenters – 'The Singles 1969-73' and The Singles '1974-78'.

These A&M Records albums, containing 12 songs each, include most of the Carpenters’ hit songs throughout the 1970s. The 1981 hit single Touch me when we’re dancing (with the poignant B-side Because we are in love) is also included with the sale.

All of these records have been owned by me from new, and are in excellent condition throughout, with no scratches, marks or other audible damage. The level of background surface noise on the LPs is low (slightly higher on the single, as is often the case). There is a slight warp on the 1969-73 Singles collection (which was there when bought), but this does not adversely affect its playing.

The sleeves are in generally extremely good condition throughout (considering their age), although the 1969-73 Singles sleeve does have a very slight stain on the front cover (barely visible on the photo). The 1969-73 Singles album includes a 12 page booklet including lyrics, and recording credits and other information.

If sent through the post, the albums will be very carefully packaged, but to minimise any risk collection would also be welcome (near Church Stretton, south Shropshire).
