 Vinyl Condition

Very Good - Visually this record is in Very Good condition and has maintained its sheen.  Typical of a lot of Hendrix albums it does show signs of having been regularly played over the last 49 years (it is very difficult finding one in excellent condition these days).  There are a number of light hairline scratches and marks but none which are deep and affect the audio. There are light spindle marks but no major signs or damage to the labels.  There is vinyl crackle in the quiet places and some pops, expected of a near 50 year old rock album, but overall the audio quality on both sides is Very Good with no jumps or major sound deterioration when Jimi is in full flow!

Sleeve Condition

Very Good – This EJ Day & Co laminate sleeve is in Very Good condition overall with no major signs of damage.  There is a noticeable mark in the laminate on the front (see photos) and light wear and tear on the spine and the edges.   The rear shows some light signs of discolouration and ringwear but again no signs of damage.

Are You Experienced is the debut studio album by English-American rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience.  Released in 1967, the LP was an immediate critical and commercial success, and it is widely regarded as one of the greatest debuts in the history of rock music. The album features Jimi Hendrix's innovative approach to songwriting and electric guitar playing which soon established a new direction in psychedelic and hard rock music.

Additional Information

This is a fantastic original pressing of this classic 1967 mono album.  Despite the few flaws, this vinyl and sleeve will be a great addition to any Hendrix or rock collection.  If you want perfect sound and no character then a CD would be a better option!
