HERE is a rare chance to obtain at modest outlay Brainchild's rare album, Healing of the lunatic owl, on A&M (AMLS 979) from 1970. Brainchild's Healing of the lunatic owl is "one of the better progressive rock obscurities of the era", according to Galactic Ramble, which highlights the band's ability to rock "pretty hard without forgetting the importance of melodies and hooks ... overall it's a must for hungry prog fans".
SLEEVE: The fully laminated single sleeve is in VG- condition with plentiful creasing, particularly in the vicinity of the outline of the record within, together with a small nick in the rear opening edge, some soiling of the sticky unlaminated edges of the sleeve, some cornerwear and a little light staining beneath the laminate at the top right of the rear panel. Otherwise this is a reasonably acceptable example of a stunning piece of artwork, conceived in a similar vein to The Web's I Spider.
LABELS/VINYL: Both labels are in VG condition with no unwanted writing or tears and a moderate amount of spindle activity. Viewed under strong halogen light, this UK first pressing looks in Fair condition, as though it has been ill-treated, with numerous marks and scuffs all over both sides of the vinyl. Yet somehow it plays all the way through, both sides, without skips or jumps. There's plenty of background noise, pops and clicks, though.
Thanks for viewing and good luck if you are bidding. Please also check out my other rare items.
