STARKER SCHUMANN/LALO SR90347 MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE IN SHRINK RFR-1/4 NM-/EX-
You are looking at a rare copy of Janos Starker performing Schumann & Lalo Cello Concertos. London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Skrowaczewski. This is a Mercury Living Presence audiophile pressing. This lp was cleaned with a Spin-Clean Record Washer system and place in a clear poly protective inner sleeve before listing. Ships for free in the U.S. with USPS Media Mail.
Vinyl Condition (see my grading system below): EX-. Both sides have a lot of their original glossiness and the labels are nice and clean. It has scuff marks and faint surface wear on both sides that cause no skipping or popping but you can hear minor / slight background static noise in quiet sections. Not as sharp as a near mint copy but not far off and a slight step down listening copy in my opinion nonetheless.
Outer Sleeve Condition (see my grading system below): NM-. Near mint minus in shrink wrap. Has tiny hole punched through top right corner - otherwise I would have listed it as .

Albums are shipped in thick-cardboard lp mailer boxes with albums protected inside the mailing box by a cardboard inner padding board on either side of the lp. I place all of my opened vinyl records for sale in poly-lined inner sleeves before listing in order to preserve their condition - I also clean all vinyl records for sale with a Spin-Clean Record Washing system before placing them in poly sleeves. I will also include the original paper inner sleeve for you if I purchased it with one - I always say so in the description. If the album is sealed, it will not have a poly sleeve provided. Furthermore, vinyl record, cover and inner sleeve are all placed together inside of an outer poly sleeve to keep them clean and protect their condition. Vinyls are always taken out of their outer sleeves in order to prevent cover warping with the exception of some box sets where the vinyls will remain in the box.
I will ship within 2 business days from time of payment. Faster priority mail and priority mail express options are available at check out. Save on shipping costs by combining winning auctions. One dollar additional shipping charged for each single lp and 2 dollars for each double lp bought in the U.S. Box sets will vary depending on their sizes. For multiple album international quotes please contact me.
Bid with confidence. I have excellent seller feedback.
Record Grading System:
MINT or M: This record looks perfect and has no flaws. Never been handled. No wear whatsoever.
NEAR MINT or NM, M- : This vinyl record looks close to perfect. A very minor scuff or two that does not affect the sound in any way is the maximum amount of wear it can have. Furthermore, it should play over the flaw with no affect on the sound. The cover looks close to perfect with only very minor signs of shelf wear along its edges.
EXCELLENT or EX: Minor scuffs that are not very noticeable. There may be a few scuffs but there are NO scratches. Should play all the way through with no hiccups or skips and at the most has some very minor and low background noise. Cover: Artwork looks very presentable and is fully visible. Minor ring wear is okay. Some minor creases and / or wear at the corners is acceptable, but this must be minor and not an eyesore. There can be no seam splits or writing or any signs of taping.
VERY GOOD PLUS or VG+: The vinyl record will show wear and surface scuffs. Though the vinyl still has much of its original glossy luster, there will be flaws to the vinyl surface that are visible to the naked eye. COVERS: A clean cover that looks presentable but at the same time looks like it has been handled over the years showing all around lighter signs of use. There is likely some minor ring wear. It may also have some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes. Corners can show some white and maybe have faint creases but nothing to detract from the cover's artwork. No writing or taping of split seams.
VERY GOOD or VG: This is a vinyl record that is good enough. Expect surface noise when played. The songs should overpower the background noise. Vinyl surface has some of its original gloss but will show signs of use - scuff marks and possibly superficial scratches. It should play without skipping all the way through but it may have a few popping noises. VG covers will show handling and shelf wear but they do not look "ugly" - just that they have been well used through the years. There may be some seam splitting but nothing too major. There will be the kind of ring wear where the ink of the artwork has started to wear off around the circle shape of the disc inside. There could be some writing on the cover but no large letters or drawings - only a small name. It will look aged and the colors of the cover may be faded a little due to age.
