Whereas 'Are You Satisfied', Slaves' debut of last year showed a band willing to temper their raucous machinations with pop hooks, 'Take Control' sounds much more like the sound of the Tunbridge Wells duo putting their money where their punk rock mouth is - produced by Beastie Boy Michael 'Mike D' Diamond, this quickly-delivered follow-up is possessed of both splenetic rage and fearsome chutzpah, delivering 45-second blasts of noise and uncompromising experimentation with aplomb. Anyone who had these two down as a novelty act should think again.
