A. SHAH-MOURADIAN LOT OF 3 78 RECORDS OLD ARMENIAN MUSIC COLUMBIA ARMENAG A. SHAH-MOURADIAN LOT OF 3 78 RECORDS OLD ARMENIAN MUSIC COLUMBIA ARMENAG

You are looking at a lot of  3 Columbia 78 records of Armenag Shah-Mouradian, a famous early 20th century Armenian singer who was known as the "Armenian Caruso." His 78s are quite rare - 2 of these I cannot find having ever come up for auction before. I have shipped 78s before and know how to ship them to ensure that they are well protected in transit.

78 Conditions (see my grading system below): (Sorry I cannot read Armenian so I am describing them from left to right as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd): 1st is Excellent and glossy, 2nd is Acceptable with average 78 surface wear though no deep scratches. It has a small chip on its very edge that does not come close to the grooves and that has downgraded the condition from good+ to acceptable. 3rd is Acceptable with normal / average 78 surface wear but no deep scratches.  The center hole has a a chip in it in the 3rd 78 so that the spindle hole is slightly larger than a normal center spindle otherwise I would have graded this one as good+, as well. If I were to grade the 2nd and 3rd based solely on the condition of the grooves, I would grade them as good+. I am only grading them as acceptable since they both have chips outside of the groove area that does not affect their sound so their aesthetic condition is worse than their sound quality. I tested all 3 and there are no skips.

Please check out . I will combine shipping on multiple album orders (see details below). You can also view .

Albums are shipped in thick-cardboard lp mailer boxes with albums protected inside the mailing box by a cardboard inner padding board on either side of the lp. I place all of my opened vinyl records for sale in poly-lined inner sleeves before listing in order to preserve their condition. I also clean all of my vinyl records with a Spin-Clean Record Washing system. I will include the original paper inner sleeve for you if it came with one - I always say so in the description. Vinyls are always taken out of their outer sleeves and placed in a clear poly outer sleeve in order to prevent cover warping with the exception of some box sets where the vinyls will remain in the box.  One dollar additional shipping charged for each single lp and 2 dollars for each double lp bought in the U.S. Box sets will vary depending on their sizes. For multiple album international quotes please contact me.

International buyers please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Record Grading System:

MINT or M: This record looks perfect and has no flaws. Never been handled. No wear whatsoever.

NEAR MINT or NM, M- : This vinyl record looks close to perfect. A very minor scuff or two that does not affect the sound in any way is the maximum amount of wear it can have. Furthermore, it should play over the flaw with no affect on the sound. The cover looks close to perfect with only very minor signs of shelf wear along its edges.

EXCELLENT or EX: Minor scuffs that are not very noticeable. There may be a few scuffs but there are NO scratches. Should play all the way through with no hiccups or skips and at the most has some very minor and low background noise. Cover: Artwork looks very presentable and is fully visible. Minor ring wear is okay. Some minor creases and / or wear at the corners is acceptable, but this must be minor and not an eyesore. There can be no seam splits or writing or any signs of taping.

VERY GOOD PLUS or VG+: The vinyl record will show wear and surface scuffs. Though the vinyl still has much of its original glossy luster, there will be flaws to the vinyl surface that are visible to the naked eye. COVERS: A clean cover that looks presentable but at the same time looks like it has been handled over the years showing all around lighter signs of use.  There is likely some minor ring wear. It may also have some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes. Corners can show some white and maybe have faint creases but nothing to detract from the cover's artwork. No writing or taping of split seams.

VERY GOOD or VG: This is a vinyl record that is good enough.  Expect surface noise when played. The songs should overpower the background noise.  Vinyl surface has some of its original gloss but will show signs of use - scuff marks and possibly superficial scratches. It should play without skipping all the way through but it may have a few popping noises. VG covers will show handling and shelf wear but they do not look "ugly" - just that they have been well used through the years. There may be some seam splitting but nothing too major. There will be the kind of ring wear where the ink of the artwork has started to wear off around the circle shape of the disc inside.  There could be some writing on the cover  but no large letters or drawings - only a small name. It will look aged and the colors of the cover may be faded a little due to age.
