I am reluctantly selling many of the remaining items from my collection, which I cannot justify keeping due to hearing loss. This is a mono first pressing from 1967 in very good overall condition, which was bought from a dealer some time ago.
The fully laminated cover has small crease marks in one corner and along the laminate covering the spine. The spine lettering is fully intact. There is a small lift in the laminate between the lettering and some slight yellowing around the edges of the cover; all of which are common with covers of this vintage.
The discs have the first press matrices; 612002 A v 2-2 3 612002 B v 1 1 1
Both discs show evidence of play; the matt black Track labels show up any handling and there are 4 or 5 spindle traces visible on each side. The photographs have been taken in very strong sunlight show every detail. The playing surfaces have some hairlines but this thick, heavy vinyl pressing is very resilient and these don't produce distracting clicks or pops. The sound quality is remarkable in its 'forwardness' and immediacy in comparison to later released, without being overly 'bright' and has very fulsome bass.
Overall, not an archive copy by any means but an excellent playing copy.
