Greatest Hits III (Limited Edition No 4136)

I was reliably informed by the previous owner that this album has never been played and judging by the stunning sheen on the vinyls and the complete lack of spindle wear I have no reason to doubt him.

 This double LP was released as a limited edition in 1999 and is numbered 04136.  It obviously has the pvc sleeve with the Queen name and crest embossed on the front with Brian, Roger and John included also.

Visual grading

They are both absolutely pristine and visually stunning.  They have that immaculate glossy sheen of new vinyl which isn't surprising when you consider they haven't been played.  There is no spindle wear, hairlines or scratches whatsoever and quite simply they look as new.  They both still had white flecks on them from the inside of the inners proving they had never been played prior to my play testing.

Play grading

I can confirm that both vinyls play with Mint quality audio.  The clarity and depth across all sides is stunning and this is why music should be heard on vinyl!  All tracks play as new with no interference which is incredibly rare to find today.  What I find particularly impressive with this pressing is the richness and warmth of the sound and the bass comes through superbly.  You can certainly tell they have never been played before...prior to my play testing that is!  I very rarely grade as Mint but as my feedback testifies I grade honestly and correctly so I am confident in grading it as such.  This rare LP has been superbly well looked after over the last 18 years.

Cover

The limited edition cover is practically Mint such a rarity for this LP.  There are a couple of very minor, barely noticeable creases around the edges and an almost imperceptible, tiny amount of shelf on the bottom edge of the back cover.  Overall this is a superb cover and is without doubt one of the best I have ever seen.  As can be seen the limited edition number 04136 is printed on the reverse side.

PVC plastic sleeve

This is in perfect condition.  So often they have splits but not this one!  Never seen better.

Picture sleeves

They are both in near perfect condition with no splits.  There is a small mark on each where they were both attached to each other at some point.  Proof that they were hardly ever removed from the cover!

Labels

  The labels are immaculate with no spindle wear or markings at all.
