Lot of Seven Beatles Vinyl Records
One of two Beatles lots I have up for auction this week. Win both, and I'll ship them all in one box.
All are vintage US pressings from the 1960s. There are no recent 180 gram reissues.
We all know how many pressing variations there are for each Beatles record. I have provided a lot of details, but am happy to answer any other questions you may have, no matter how nitpicky (I understand, I'm a collector, too).
All records will be cleaned using the Spin-Clean Record Washer and placed in new acid-free inner sleeves. Discs will be packed outside of their jackets to prevent seam splits.
Introducing the Beatles mono version; version 2 of the tracklist (i.e. featuring Ask Me Why and Please, Please Me); colorband label with bracketed VJ; looks legitimate - George has a shadow, album title and band name are not separated by the spindle hole, "AudioMatrix" stamps, etc. disc grade: VG+ (a few light marks, still pretty glossy; hard to find it in this shape) jacket grade: G+ (2" split centered on top seam, 3.5" split on bottom seam, name on back) Vee Jay inner sleeve The Beatles' Second Album stereo version; Capitol colorband label, no "subsidiary" text; no times for first two tracks on Side 2 label; Scranton plant pressing disc grade: G+ (numerous light hairlines on each side, nothing deep) jacket grade: G (spine completely split; three separate splits on the bottom seam, each about 1.5"; name and date written on back) blue Capitol inner sleeve A Hard Day's Night Original Motion Picture Sound Track mono version; I Cry Instead typo on the label and back cover; I Cry Instead not mentioned in the publishing notes on back cover disc grade: G+ (numerous light hairlines, mostly on Side 2, nothing deep) jacket grade: VG (some seam wear, no actual splits; some rub on front; stamp on back) UA inner sleeve The Savage Young Beatles yellow cover and orange labels disc grade: VG+ (a couple of light marks, nothing serious; nice shine) jacket grade: F (spine and top seam are completely split; front and back look good) Beatles '65 mono version; Capitol colorband label, no "subsidiary" text; label glossy, not matte disc grade: G+ (numerous light marks, nothing deep; some groovewear, but not excessive) jacket grade: G+ (2" split centered on spine; name on back; jacket actually still in shrink and mostly immaculate save for the aforementioned flaws, but shrink has long tears) blue Capitol inner sleeve Magical Mystery Tour stereo version; Capitol colorband label, no "subsidiary" text; BMI credits for all songs; Scranton plant pressing disc grade: VG (some light scratches and sleeve scuffs; some groovewear) jacket grade: G+ (0.5" split on top seam; name written on first page of booklet; booklet pages all present, but detached; only minor ringwear front and back) Abbey Road RCA Rockaway plant contract pressing; Her Majesty not mentioned on jacket or label; metal grate visible on front; "Apple Records" not centered under the Apple logo on the back; no Capitol logo on Side 2 label
disc grade: G+ (numerous light scratches) jacket grade: VG (split beginning on spine, not split through; a little ringwear on the front; a few creases on the back) I have taken multiple photos of each record (front cover, back cover, Side 1 label, Side 2 label, and anything else relevant), but am limited to only 12 photos here on eBay. Just message me for additional photos of a given record, and I will oblige.
