The box set also contains two five-track CDs. Full details are available here: https://www.discogs.com/Joy-Division--Singles-1978-80/release/2586049
An MP3 download code is included with the box set, this has never been used and can be redeemed from Rhino Records.
What makes this box set even more unique is that it contains a special transparent orange piece of original artwork by Peter Saville. This limits this box set to 500 copies, of which this is number 432.
The box set has been opened and the artwork stored on the wall. However, the actual vinyls have never been played, or even taken out of their slipcases. Therefore, both the vinyls and the artwork are classed as MINT.
The box itself is generally in perfect condition, but has some very slight discolouration on one corner consistent with storage on a shelf since 2010. It has no frays, rips, creases or tears and the front and back are perfect. It is therefore sold as EXCELLENT PLUS
Now, here is where honesty is needed. The artwork was put on the wall using clear adhesive dots. Therefore, some mild smudging can be seen in the corners, though I will try to clean this up before shipping. It is only really visible on holding up to the light. However, the main thing is that it did fall off the wall and a small fraction of the bottom right corner (approx 1.5mm wide and 1cm long) broke off. There is also a slight crack in the left bottom corner. Both of these have been shown in the pictures. Please do not bid on this thinking that the Peter Saville artwork is mint, because it is not.
This issue with the artwork is why this is being sold at a discount price. Normally these box sets, with the limited edition vinyl, go for £300-400 when unopened and sealed. The opening of the box, and the issue with the artwork means that the price has been reduced accordingly. Nonetheless, this is still an opportunity to own a rare, beautiful and collectable Joy Division box set with mint condition vinyl and record sleeves for an excellent price.
