Please read carefully before submitting a bid, I've owned all these LPs for a long time and consider the grading as honest as you'll find on ebay! Smoke free home, and cared for very well - during my ownership. Some of these LPs are sought after and among others you'll find the legendary first press pro-mo of the debut Josefus album!! Naturally I'm listing these to protect my original investment, hence a BIN price of £450 - that's around £12 per LP delivered!!
I am open to offers, so feel free to drop me a line. Best wishes, Steve.
Grading: Sleeve/Wax. Based on the Record Collector Standard.
First up, the stand out LPs:
Josefus - S/T: Mainstream, S/6127 first press pro-mo copy. What can you say? Ultra rare and in huge demand, this copy has a good+ sleeve, although a previous owner has very neatly taped the seams to protect them, and initialled the bottom left corner very neatly too! The vinyl is graded at VG. We have some hairlines and sleeve scuffs but the previous owners have been very careful re spindle wear, as very little is evident. A real opportunity to pick up one of the rarest and coolest LPs of the early 1970s... More pics now added: 07/12/17.
Water Into Wine Band - Hill Climbing for Beginners: Myrrh 1004, white textured sleeve (no insert.) EX/EX! A superb example of this xian/rock crossover, again becoming increasingly collectible. The vinyl is pristine...
Presence - S/T: New City London, SLCW1031- EX/EX. Superb all round for this now highly prized xian record. The vinyl has been barely played and retains a sheen like new! The sleeve is also truly outstanding.
The rest of the old school rock stuff..
Boomerang (feat. Mark Stein) - S/T: RCA orange label LSP-4577 A1/B1, textured sleeve: Sleeve is only G, with a seam split to top portion and a small import snip. The vinyl is superb and graded as EX.
The Gary Moore Band - Grinding Stone: CBS 32699 red label, EX/EX.
Dickens - Standing Out: Private Press, ROCK101P, first press. EX/EX - feat. poster from local pub with band name and date! (pic to follow...) Bit of a find this!
Hedgehog Pie - S/T: Rubber Records, RUB009 - first press. EX/EX - feat. original insert.
The Flock - Dinosaur Swamps: CBS orange label, S64055. EX/EX - truly superb all round.
The Allman Brothers Band - Brother's and Sister's: GF, with insert on Capricorn Records 47507. EX/VG+.
The Alman Brothers Band - Eat a Peach: Capricorn label first press, 2CP0102 GF with insert. F+/VG+ the seams have sadly split on the textured GF, which being predominately white suffers from some discolouration here and there too, we also have a slight tear to the rear of the outer GF. The vinyl remains in superb condition however, across all four sides of this legendary double LP from the Allman Bros...
Cat Stevens - Numbers: Island, ILPSP 9370, Gimmick sleeve with original booklet insert all in EX/EX!
Crow - By Crow: Obscure US band on the Amaret Label, ST5006. VG/VG.
Blood Sweat and Tears - Child is a Father to the Man: CBS orange, S63296. VG (small sticker tear to top right of front sleeve) VG+ for the vinyl.
Blood Sweat and Tears - BS&T 4: CBS orange, S64355. G+ (Tape to top and bottom seams) vinyl is EX.
Fairport Convention - Babbacombe Lee: GF with insert booklet and original lyric inner sleeve, Island pink rim ILPS 9176. EX/VG+ some slight scuffing side 2.
Fairport Convention - Nine: GF, pink rim Island - ILPS 9246. G+/G+, some small sticker marking to outer GF front  and some hairlines to wax.
Sandy Denny - Like and Old Fashioned Waltz: GF, pink rim Island - ILPS 9258. G+/VG+.
Rich Mountain Tower - S/T: GF, QUAD press, Ovation Records, OVQD/1412. Signed by band member Dana Paul to front of GF. GF is a little marked to front as such is VG and the vinyl is EX+, having hardly been played. A real find once again!
Dust - S/T: Kama Sutra UK press, 2319 014 SUPER. G/VG. Sleeve suffer from large sticker tear to front top right. Vinyl has some light scuffing, but is otherwise fine.
Focus - In and Out of Focus: Sire re-issue, probs late 70s - SAS7404. VG/EX+.
Focus - Hamburger Concerto: Polydor red label, 2442124. EX+/EX+!
Focus - At the Rainbow: Polydor red label, 2442118. VG+/EX! Featuring original gimmick fold out sleeve.
Colosseum - Live: 2LP on Bronze label - ICD... GF, with original gimmick inners, although these have been taped to secure them as this sleeve was notoriously fiddly! the vinyl is superb across all four sides and graded as VG+ with some slight scuffing here and there.
Bloodrock - Passage: Capitol red label first press, SW611109. VG-/EX. slight seam spit to top of sleeve, with some ring wear visible too.
Blackfoot Sue - Strangers: Import records, IMP1007. A superb example, export snip to right corner of sleeve. EX/EX - the vinyl is virtually untouched!
A couple of soundtracks:
On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Original Soundtrack Recording, John Barry conducts. GF sleeve first press, United Artists orange and pink label, UAS 29020. EX/EX. Stunning!
Jesus Christ Superstar - OCR 2LP: MCA black label first press MKPS 2011, with GF sleeve and original programme insert. VG/VG. This is the recording featuring Ian Gillan of Deep Purple et al. The glue to the top seams of each side of the GF has failed, but the sleeve is none the worse for it and still classed as VG.
The more modern (ahem) stuff... All are near mint barely played and thus are listed very briefly below:
Beck - A Western Field By Moonlight: Ultra, ultra rare mini Lp, put out on fingerpaint - I've never really seen another copy of this and I've owned this since new. I've played it once - as near to mint as you'll find!
Beck - One Foot In the Grave: K label, blue KLP 28. Another rare first press of this now semi legendary Mellow Gold era lo-fi folk LP from the genius that is Beck.
Beck - Where It's At: 12" EP - feat. various remixes of the title track.
Octopus - From a to b: Food, blue GF pro-mo. Ultra rare and now becoming collectible in it's own right. Mid 90s indie band who could've been big... If only!
Circulus - The lick on the Tip... Rise Above Records, GF Rise LP63. Brown splatter ltd. Now hugely sought after.
Circulus - Clocks are Like People:  Rise Above Records, GF Rise LP093. Blue ltd. As above.
Andy Burrows - Company: GF,  PIASR570LP.
Green Leaf - Nest of Vipers: SS-125LP, Ltd. Silver/Grey/Light Green splatter - another modern collectible in the making.
