Starting out under the head-turning moniker ,  are an indie pop/indie electro band comprised of 's , 's , and Mr. Fredrick's . After chief songwriter  returned to Portland, Oregon following a four-year stint in New York City, he released two  records on Expunged, including , a breezy but glum lo-fi album of '80s covers. Looking to convert his musical endeavors into a more lighthearted project,  recruited  and formed a new group with . With notable live performances that featured some instrument swapping, dual drumming, and stage diving, as well as some outlandish costumes, 's attention was drawn to their set and he signed the band to Badman Recording Company.  and  took some of their home recordings to the Type Foundry to round out their eponymous debut record with some intricate layering, and in September 2008, the album was released to the public and hailed by critics for its abundance of dance-friendly hooks. Multi-instrumentalist  joined on in 2009. Experiencing some mainstream success in the form of a Target campaign that sampled "Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second," the band wrestled with a name change, considering PYRAMID and Pyramiddd in their short list of options. Ultimately, they decided to embrace the absurdity of their moniker and stuck with  for 2011's , which was released on Polyvinyl. Some lineup changes ensued as time went on, with  leaving the band and touring guitarist  taking his place as a full-time member in late 2011. The band continued to grow in popularity, and again grappled with a name change. They opted on the foreshortened  in 2012, and between tours completed work on their third album, , which was released in early 2013. Slimmed down to the lineup of , , and ,  returned with  in November 2015 on limited-edition "early bird" vinyl, with a full release following in the fall of 2016.

PACKING AND SHIPPING

See my feedback when it comes to shipping and packaging! All of my records come in NEW vinyl mailer boxers (well, sometimes I recycle the really good, expensive mailers folks like Vinyl Me Please use to send me stuff in, but that is rare that I use those mailers).  My records come wrapped in bubblewrap with cardboard sleeves on the outside and finally wrapped with extra shrink to hold it all together to keep the sealed records from moving around and splitting the jacket sleeves). I put my records in a nice 3 mil poly bag. I reinforce the record mailer with extra cardboard “planks” around the corner edges of each side.  Each box is clearly labeled “FRAGILE” and includes a professional sticker stating so.  Plus, I have a few other undisclosed secrets I use to get the package to you safe and sound. (I have had two damaged records delivered in 15 years. Wish that was the same on my end receiving them!) FINALLY, your purchase is going to a cause!!! To help me launch my own independent record label; NIN9VOLT Records that will soon release its first record of a really cool, well known indie artist that is going to have everyone saying, “Hell yeah, it’s about time that was pressed on vinyl!” (It was only released on CD a few years ago, and I am excited. [understatement])

So, thanks for looking and if you read all of this, God bless you.
