The return of Suburban Base to record shop shelves is something to celebrate. Amongst the gaggle of reissues available on clear vinyl is this 1991 two-track salvo from Danny Breaks under the Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era alias. For the uninitiated, "Far Out" remains a killer example of breakbeat hardcore before it was sped-up to mind-altering levels, with the spine-tingling piano riff that drops halfway through pre-dating a number of more celebrated hardcore classics. Flipside "Higher" makes use of a sub heavy, bleep style dub bassline, alongside sampled crowd noise reminiscent of the KLF's Stadium House trilogy of singles.
