On their follow-up Bear Your Mind, it’s not difficult to see how Free Throw slot into the genre’s of emo with no fuss – gritty and melodic in the vein of Modern Baseball, with frontman Cory Castro being completely open as he becomes the latest to take a trip around the teenage wasteland.... This band has so much to offer in terms of quality. And it’s not as if this album is a blatant rehash of those indie pop sounds found in other bands either. While emo is undeniably the base material for Free Throw’s sound, the band bolsters it with burly pop-punk bounce. Just one take on "Rinse. Repeat" and it's as plain as paper. You'll find early post-hardcore on "Weight On My Chest" and gentle, simmering indie-rock on "Hope Spot." Bear Your Mind has such an organic looseness to how it flows . And for an album that isn’t particularly hook driven, a lot about it continues to stick, whether it’s Castro’s prominent vocal shifts from a softer rasp to a pop-punk vocal not unlike Neck Deep’s Ben Barlow, or the incisive melodies of tracks.

All records are shipped using bubble wrap and cardboard flats (plus extra shrink wrap over the bubble and cardboard if I think the situation calls for it)—all enclosed in a secure LP box that includes extra cardboard planks secured on the outside off each corner. Shipment is clearly marked "fragile" on both sides.
