Founded more than a quarter century ago, the heavyartillery barrage that is Marduk still shows no signs of dying down. The blackmetal legends from Norrköping, Sweden, keep putting out new albums likeclockwork and contrary to many of their contemporaries they haven’t mellowedover the years, neither musically nor lyrically. Back in the day, they weremainly inspired by satanic and anti-Christian themes; in recent years, though,they’ve also been writing about WWII and the Third Reich. The Swedish band’s13th studio album ‘Frontschwein’ is the perfect illustration of where Mardukare today.
