THE DRIFTERS (aka THE ROBINS).  SACROILIAC SWING / THE WORLD IS CHANGING.

This record is now thought by some not to be by The Drifters at all and that it may be The Robins.

At one time this record was a prized collectable until it was determined that there was doubt that it was in fact The Drifters. However it is still somewhat sought after because of it's odd beginnings.

In 1953 after the Robins left RCA they headed back to the Bihari Brothers and recorded 6 songs for Modern's Crown subsidiary.

Crown released 2 of these cuts (the ones on this record) in Feb. 1954. For some reason the label credited The Drifters and there has been some question of whether the Drifters are really the Robins. The Drifters had a #1 R&B hit only a few months earlier (Money Honey). It's difficult to see why the Bihari's thought they could get away with this if in fact that is the case.

Crown label.

The record is visually graded a strong VG+ (6) with only light marks and scuffs and retains most of it's original gloss. You won't be disappointed.

The labels are clean and bright with only the slightest of wear.

I do NOT use the goldmine grading system but instead a 10 point grading system which I learned many years:
10 - Mint
 9 - NM
 8 - NM-
 7 - EX or VG++
 6 - VG+
 5 - VG
 4 - VG-
 3 - Good
 2 - Fair
 1 - Poor

I will be glad to combine your winnings to save you money on shipping costs.
